Erin Welch, a senior Neuroscience major, has had her submission, "Effect of Loneliness on Older Adults' Autobiographical Memory Retrieval," selected as a highly ranked abstract by the Society for Affective Science. The abstract was ranked among the top 20% out of 452 abstracts based on a double-blinded peer review process and will be published in a supplement of the journal Affective Science. Erin's abstract reported data from the first study of her honors thesis, which focuses on the effects of loneliness, depression, and social isolation on older adults' autobiographical memories.
