Team of BC Neuroscientists Publish in Nature Neuroscience

A team of BC neuroscientists published "Insular cortex mediates approach and avoidance responses to social affective stimuli” today in Nature Neuroscience. The team, led by Morgan Rogers-Carter and Juan Varela, includes department faculty members Maureen Ritchey and John Christianson. Recent BC graduates Bates Gribbons, Anne Pierce, and Morgan McGoey all contributed to the research, which provides new information about how social stress signals are processed in the brain.
