Nick specializes in gender and sexuality studies, particularly the burgeoning field of asexuality studies. His long term goal is to help reconcile discourses around asexuality with the psychoanalytic frameworks frequently employed in queer theory.
As an undergraduate at The University of Vermont, Nick split his time between two academic passions, finishing with both a B.S. in Mathematics and a B.A. in English. He later returned to UVM for an M.A. in English. He taught freshman composition courses each semester of his master's program and was employed as a middle school math teacher before and after the master's.
In addition to teaching and PhD things, Nick enjoys running, bagels, Pixar movies, and (bad) karaoke. He is also looking for a chess partner.
