Malama Wilson is a PhD student whose research interests revolve around environmental studies, identity and community, and the incorporation of the dead in literature. She is interested in tracking the evolution of these themes and their intersections with one another. Malama focuses on primarily Irish, English, and Scottish texts from the 19th to the mid-20th century. Before coming to Boston College, Malama received her Bachelor’s in English and Technical and Professional Communications Certificate from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. She later received her Master’s in Humanities from the University of Chicago.
