Daniel Dougherty is a Ph.D. Candidate who writes on the Bildungsroman, the anglophone novel, and global modernisms. His work is centered on radical forms and theories of forms and genres. His writing has appeared in or is forthcoming in Literary Imagination, Brontë Studies, The Journal of the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning, and other venues. He also has a special interest in the digital humanities and digital pedagogies and works with the Boston College Collaborative Digital Projects Lab to produce digital classroom resources for instructors and students across the humanities including topic readers and lesson plans.
At Boston College, he has taught courses including First-Year Writing, several sections of Literature Core which look at the long history of a genre of writing (Travel and Adventure Literature and Comedy), and an elective on the Bildungsroman.
Before attending Boston College, Daniel received his M.A. and B.A. from Georgetown University.
