I am a Ph.D. candidate in Earth and Environmental Sciences broadly interested in using isotope geochemistry to better understand past climate and ocean dynamics. My current research projects involve using stable nitrogen isotopes and cosmogenic nuclides to investigate North Atlantic ice sheet dynamics and ocean biogeochemical cycling across the Pleistocene.
Outside of scientific research, I am also interested in science communication and outreach in K-12 schools. Prior to beginning my graduate studies at BC, I received my B.S. from Louisiana State University in Petroleum Engineering and briefly worked in both environmental consulting and oil and gas.
Why did you chose Boston College for graduate school?
I chose to attend Boston College because of the exciting research opportunities and smaller department size. The faculty and students in the Earth and Environmental Sciences Department are very supportive of each other and eager to spark up collaborations, which makes for a great work environment.
