Alumna wins global governance challenge prize

Mariana Ferreira '21 led a team that won first prize in the Global University Challenge in Dubai last month (February 2023) for their proposal of a Universal Digital Rights Charter. The five team members are students at IE University's School of Politics, Economics and Global Affairs, based in Madrid; Mariana is a Fulbright-funded student in their masters program in International Development.  (She also won the IS Program's Ricci Prize in 2021, awarded to the year's best International Studies Thesis, for her project on South American national responses to the Venezuelan refugee crisis.) Congrats Mariana!
