Ryan McManus won a $500 graduate student travel award to present his work at the 2022 Society for Personality and Social Psychology conference. His project is entitled, "Has moral psychology been answering the wrong questions? Lack of group-to-individual generalizability threatens the validity of moral cognition research," which explores how (moral) psychologists often make person-level claims after conducting only group-level analyses, sometimes leading to erroneous inferences about person-level psychology.
