Congratulations to our Russian Studies Students!!!

1) Isaiah Brown and Rigas Rigopoulous won a Critical Language Scholarship (CLS) to study Russian intensively for summer 2021! The CLS is a prestigious, fully-funded scholarship sponsored by the US Department of State.

2) Suzanna Diehl (who won a CLS for Russian in 2019) has received a Fulbright Scholarship, a prestigious international education exchange program sponsored by the US Department of State. Awarded an English Teaching Assistantship, Suzanna will teach English next year in Kyrgyzstan.

3) Warmest congratulations to Max German, one of our Russian minors, who won a Truman Scholarship this year!

4) Rigas Rigopoulos won first prizes for both the monologue and the poetry recitation at the New England Olympiada of Spoken Russian this past Sunday. You can read Rigas' inspiring monologue - which combines his passion for music and Russian - on the Olympiada's official website.
