Hon. Jeffrey Locke

Profile

The Hon. Jeffrey Locke has been the Associate Justice of the Massachusetts Superior Court since 2001. He received his B.A. at Georgetown University and J.D. at Boston University School of Law. He went on to work in the Middlesex County District Attorney’s Office and United States Attorney’s Office as an Assistant Attorney and was also a District Attorney for the Norfolk County District Attorney’s Office. In 2000, he was commissioner of the Massachusetts Department of Social Services before being appointed to the Superior Court a year later.

Hon. Jeffrey Locke has earned multiple awards including the Public Advocacy Award from the Child Welfare League of America in 2000, a Commissioner’s Citation from the U.S. Customs Service in 1993, a Superior Performance Award from the Department of Justice in 1991, and a pair of Letters of Commendation from the F.B.I. in 1990 and 1998. He also has extensive teaching experience over the years including work at Northeastern University School of Law Boston, the Attorney General’s Advocacy Institute Washington, D.C., Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education, the Federal Bureau of Investigation Undercover Training Program, and the National College of District Attorneys.
