Student Grants

Summer grants were awarded to students who participated in unpaid summer internships at various civic organizations whose focus areas included combatting hunger, public affairs, immigration, and refugee services, environmental conservation, criminal justice, and museum education. Travel grants were also awarded to students who participated in opportunities that support their career interests, including public health, public service consulting, psychology, and human trafficking. Three students also received a grant to attend the GenHERation Discovery Days program, which connects young women with female leaders from Fortune 500 companies, tech giants, government agencies, retail, the sporting industry, and other companies for networking and mentorship opportunities.

GenHERation Discovery Days

I loved my time with GenHERation. The sessions with various companies were engaging and collaborative. I met other driven, motivated girls from all over with diverse interests. I appreciated how we were exposed to many different types of careers and how there was ample space and time to ask any questions we had. My favorite part of GenHERation was the mentoring sessions at the end of the week.
