Student Startups Accelerate to New Heights

Start@Shea’s 2021 Accelerator Demo Day may have been a startup pitch event, but it had the high energy and excitement of a game show. In the culmination of Accelerate@Shea, a winter program where student entrepreneurs receive funds, workshops, and a mentor, Boston College startups took the virtual stage to present their business ideas. Over a YouTube livestream, the BC community learned about ingenious ideas, from a digital marketplace for international artisanal designers (My Brother’s Friend) to a software that combats implicit bias in the healthcare industry (Alai).
