How has the BC MBA shaped your career goals?
My MBA experience provided me with a backdrop for what is currently shaping the business world and a platform for connecting with young professionals and thought leaders. It allowed me to explore new and innovative industries such as Blockchain, ESG, and understand the broader use of data analytics within my future opportunities.
What were some highlights of your part-time MBA program at BC?
Being able to mentor current students and talk to prospective students about how to navigate MBA life. I really enjoyed social events such as the Carroll School tailgates and being able to represent Boston College in the Tuck Winter Carnival. Both were great for camaraderie and networking, and provided the sense of a lasting community of BC.

Why did you choose to do your MBA at Boston College?
I chose to obtain my MBA at Boston College because classes were offered at a time that was manageable for my work schedule. Additionally, the strong school spirit attracted me to Boston College, as it has helped me build strong connections with colleagues that I will carry with me forever. It has also helped me become a stronger and more empathetic leader.
What is it like to be a part-time BC MBA student?
As a part-time MBA student, the amount of collaboration between other part-time students has been vital in our success. I have built strong friendships with colleagues who work in various industries throughout Boston. I know I will always be supported and have a friendly face to go to when I need help. It has been such a supportive and collaborative community that is unique to the part-time experience as we work hard in the evenings to achieve the same goal.

Why did you choose to do your MBA at Boston College?
I was drawn to the BC MBA’s potential to enhance my leadership and business processes, expand communication, and refine managerial and innovation skills. The flexibility in the number of credits that students are allowed to take per semester was also a key factor in my decision to attend BC since it truly enabled me to take classes at my own pace.
What are some strengths of the BC MBA?
The BC alumni network is very strong, full of rising and established professionals who form part of many different industries. Interactions inside and outside the classroom are enriching, as there’s always an opportunity to learn from different perspectives and backgrounds. In addition, the quality of professors who come equipped with many years of real-world experience from all over the world is unmatchable.

In particular, the data analytics sequence equipped me with the necessary skills to confidently approach data in various job functions and industries, with a solid foundation in analytics.
What is your advice to future BC MBA candidates?
Step out of your comfort zone and explore! Participate in activities, dive into various topics and electives, and learn from those around you. Broaden your skillset and take advantage of the amazing networking opportunities and the BC alumni network. Embrace the resources and opportunities for a truly rewarding experience, and don’t forget to support and uplift others along the way.

Creating a lifelong network with my classmates who all came from diverse industries, each with their own experiences and perspectives. Learning from some incredibly accomplished professors who challenged us to step out of our comfort zones. The accessibility to discuss real-time business challenges from your peers in the classroom, which made our coursework immediately relevant.

It also helped me become more outcome-focused and intentional as a leader. Balancing the program with a demanding full-time role was challenging, but the flexibility, relationships, and new career opportunities made it incredibly rewarding.
