Strategic Management
Jerry Potts has been a member of the Carroll School faculty since 2012, first as an Adjunct Professor and now as a Lecturer in the Management and Organization department. His primary focus has been teaching Strategic Management and he was awarded the Coughlin Distinguished Teaching Award in 2017. Before coming to BC, Jerry spent 36 years at MFS Investment Management. Over his long career, he was involved in a number of areas including sales and marketing, communications, distribution technology, strategic planning and business analytics. Most recently, his area of focus has been on digital strategy, including attribution analysis using machine learning and AI.
In addition to working at MFS, Jerry has also founded companies as diverse as an independent record label to a streaming media technology platform. He is currently Board Chair for Passim, a 60 years-old non-profit music organization in Cambridge, MA and has served on its Board since 2000. He also serves on the Board for the Cultural Alliance of Medfield.
