Globe Features BC Report: Social Security As Great Equalizer

Social Security is a "great equalizer" in American society, helping to narrow a yawning wealth gap between Black and Hispanic retirees and white retirees, according to a report from the Center for Retirement Research that underscores the risk of letting the system slide toward insolvency. The brief, co-written by CRR research fellow Geoffrey Sanzenbacher, an associate professor of the practice of economics, and CRR senior research adviser Wenliang Hou, is featured on the front page of today's Boston Globe.
