Alumni Honored by NIAAA

BCSSW Alumn Christopher Salas-Wright was awarded a K01 Mentored Research Scientist Development Award by the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism (NIAAA).

The objective of this five year research and training award is to adapt a school-based, SAMSHA model substance use intervention to include a focus on violence prevention. This includes research and training in the areas of qualitative research, intervention adaptation, and prevention implementation and outcomes research.
