Article published and grant awarded

Dale Maglalang's journal article "Racial discrimination, ethnic-racial socialization, and cultural identities among Asian American youths" was published in Cultural Diversity and Ethnic Minority Psychology. It's co-authored with Dr. Bongki Woo and Dr. David Takeuchi. The article can be accessed through this link.

Maglalang also received a $4,000 research fellowship grant from the Institute for Asian American Studies at the University of Massachusetts, Boston. The study will examine the associations of colonial mentality and health outcomes of Filipinx Americans in Massachusetts. Dr. Carina Katigbak from BC Connell School of Nursing will be the faculty advisor for the project.
