Cal Halvorsen, an assistant professor, recently received the Carroll L. Estes Rising Star Award from the Gerontological Society of America for outstanding early career contributions to social research, policy, and practice. His most recent research brief, co-authored by Jacquelyn James, who co-directs the Center on Aging & Work at Boston College, was featured in a New York Times article on the growing ranks of older entrepreneurs.
