Sadrack Nelson is a native of Haiti. Before coming to Boston College as a doctoral student in the Hebrew Bible, Sadrack has completed a Th.M. in Hebrew Bible at Emory University, an M.A. in Religious Studies at Trevecca Nazarene University, and a B.Th. in Theology at the Séminaire Théologique Nazaréen d’Haiti.

His research focuses on Mesopotamian imperialism in the experience of ancient Israel/Judah. He is interested in exploring questions related to Israel/Judah's historical, intellectual, and cultural engagement with Mesopotamian empires, as reflected in the biblical prophetic corpus more specifically.
