Henry Widdicombe was born in northern Idaho and grew up in southern California. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from Gonzaga University in Spokane, WA and is an avid fan of their basketball team.
He earned his Master of Theological Studies in Systematic Theology and his Master of Theology, with a thesis on the Ignatian influences of Karl Rahner and Bernard Lonergan, from Saint John’s University in Collegeville, MN.
His primary academic interests are liturgy and sacraments, the work of Bernard Lonergan, the social dimensions of Catholicism, and the Catholic Worker movement. In his free time Henry also enjoys the outdoors—running, hiking, backpacking, cross-country skiing, kayaking—as well as watching movies and reading novels.
