Daniel’s research focuses upon the topic of secularism: to what extent is our age a secular one, how does secularism emerge, and how are theologians and philosophers responding to secularism? Additionally, Daniel studies metaphysics, specifically the notion of the analogy of being as a center for Christian thought. Finally, Daniel has a general interest in the intersections of classical theism, ancient philosophy, and continental philosophy, finding useful dialogue partners in Plato, Aristotle, Thomas Aquinas, G.W.F. Hegel, Friedrich Nietzsche, Erich Przywara, and David Bentley Hart.
