Caterina Baffa is a Ph.D. student in Theological Ethics with a particular interest in Christian bioethics. After studying chemistry and religion at Smith College, she worked as a medical assistant and then completed her Master of Theological Studies degree at Duke Divinity School as a Theology, Medicine, and Culture Fellow.
These experiences led her to develop interests in medical technology, health care, and the concepts of personhood and human dignity, with a particular eye towards the needs of the poor and marginalized.
