Professor Zine Magubane Elected ASA Section Chair

Professor Magubane has been elected to serve as the chair of the Section on Global and Transnational Sociology of the American Sociological Association.  She joins a growing list of BC’s sociology faculty that have recently served as chairs of various sections of ASA, including the Economic Sociology Section (Professor Sarah Babb), the Environmental Sociology Section (Professor Andrew Jorgenson), the Sociology of Consumers and Consumption Section (Professor Juliet Schor), and the Sociology of Development Section (Professor Andrew Jorgenson).
