Daniel is a historian and freelance journalist. His work has appeared at the Washington Post, Gizmodo, Vice, Atlas Obscura, the Awl, the Public Domain Review, Literary Hub, and several other publications. He has taught college-level history courses at Boston College and Northeastern University.
