Benjamin Paul is a PhD candidate who works on transatlantic modernism and poetics. His dissertation project examines the category of epic in high modernism, 20th century Caribbean literature, and contemporary avant-garde works. He is especially interested in writing that tests and reshapes the boundaries between poetry and prose, literature and philosophy, art and history. At Boston College, Benjamin has taught First Year Writing, multiple courses on experimental literature, and an elective on modernism, authorship, and autofiction. He also works for the BC Writing Center, and is a co-organizer of the graduate reading group in Poetics. Benjamin holds a B.A. in French Studies from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
