First Generation Graduate Student Association

About

The First Generation Graduate Student Association collectively represents the voice of first generation, low income, and underrepresented graduate students at Boston College. We foster community, education and outreach for these student groups. Part of our work includes acting as a liaison between first generation graduate students and faculty, communicating unique challenges that these students face. The group was founded by Megan Crotty (English PhD) in 2019 as a way to connect first generation graduate students at Boston College, and our ultimate aim is to be an interdisciplinary program.
