Faculty Director Daniel Kanstroom Interviewed on WBUR
On February 18, 2025, Faculty Director Daniel Kanstroom, was interviewed on WBUR about the current state of immigration law. He stated:
"Once there's an evisceration of the rule of law for anybody, there's the beginning of an evisceration of the rule of law for everybody. And I think that is the real story now — that’s the real danger here.”

Rappaport Visiting Professor Jeffery Robinson
Jeffery Robinson, CEO and Founder of The Who We Are Project, is the Jerome Lyle Rappaport Distinguished Visiting Professor in Law and Public Policy for the 2023 Fall term. He is teaching a seminar entitled, “Orwell's Nightmare: United States Law and the Support of Anti-Black Racism," exploring topics including housing, voting, education, policing, punishment in the criminal legal system, reparations, and affirmative action. In addition to teaching a seminar, Robinson will deliver a community address and will participate in additional panel discussions throughout the semester.

2024 Rappaport Senior Fellow
The Rappaport Center for Law and Public Policy welcomed Kimberly Atkins Stohr, Senior Opinion Writer and Columnist at The Boston Globe, and former Trial and Appellate Attorney, as the 2024 Rappaport Senior Fellow. Atkins Stohr delivered a community address, met with students, faculty, and staff, and participated in a Rappaport Center program, among other activities (Spring 2024).

Meet the 2024 Rappaport Center Law and Public Policy cohort of Fellows, law students who are passionate and committed to bettering communities in diverse areas. As Rappaport Fellows, they gained practical experience in public policy, learned from leading policymakers, and received mentorship from distinguished practitioners and civic leaders.

Greater boston debate series
Recognizing that communities consist of diverse residents with diverse perspectives, the Rappaport Center for Law and Public Policy at Boston College Law School and the Rappaport Institute for Greater Boston at Harvard Kennedy School launched an annual debate series to explore how problems and solutions must be addressed in a multi-dimensional way. The goal is to provide space for productive, deep, and sometimes messy, dialogues about affecting change on issues such as criminal justice reform, transportation, housing, education, and more.
