Paul Wilson

Biography

Hon. Paul D. Wilson was a Justice of the Massachusetts Superior Court from 2012 to 2023. Before his judicial service, he practiced law for 30 years at Mintz, Levin, Cohn, Ferris, Glovsky and Popeo, PC, where he was a general civil litigator, specializing in his later years there in real estate, land use, and environmental litigation. Judge Wilson was also a successful appellate lawyer, defending his trial or pretrial victories in the highest courts of Massachusetts, Connecticut, and New Hampshire.

Judge Wilson is a frequent participant in seminars organized by Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education, which presented him with its Scholar-Mentor Award in 2021. During his judicial career he regularly taught seminars for the education of judges. In addition to teaching trial practice at Boston College Law School, Judge Wilson has begun teaching that subject at Harvard Law School as well.

Judge Wilson is a member of the Executive Committee of the American Bar Association’s National Conference of State Trial Judges, after earlier serving as a member of the governing body of the ABA’s Section of State and Local Government Law. Judge Wilson is an honors graduate of both New York University School of Law and Princeton University.
