How has the BC MBA shaped your career trajectory and professional goals?

The BC network and brand recognition of the MBA program have opened doors for me ever since I started the program. The flexibility of the part-time program allowed me to ascend quicker into roles with greater responsibility, while enabling me to apply classroom concepts in real time, where I solidified what I was learning on the job.

What was it like to be a part-time MBA student?

The part-time MBA was challenging, personally and professionally, but ultimately a rewarding experience. The time-management skills I gained are invaluable, and the intellectual stimulation that I received from coursework and classmates were absolutely worth it. Lastly, a significant skill I gained in the program was learning how to work in teams with different types of personalities.

What is your advice to future BC MBA candidates?

Learn in every single class. Learn new business concepts and apply them to your daily life. Learn how other talented leaders think through problems. Learn about yourself and what motivates you. And lastly, get involved in the program socially—go to football tailgates, go to Thursday and Friday events, and use group projects as a chance to meet new people.
