Superpedestrian, a micro-mobility startup whose business and corporate development are handled by Graham Gullans ’07, recently raised $20 million in its bid to produce the first fleet of smart scooters that can monitor their own maintenance issues. Sensors embedded in the vehicles allow each scooter to perform a thousand checks per minute to catch malfunctions in advance. “Any way in which a human could break the scooter, we wanted to avoid,” Gullans, the company’s vice president for business, told BostInno.
