GreenRoots
GreenRoots is a community-based organization dedicated to achieving environmental and climate justice and improving public health in Chelsea and East Boston. They do so through deep community engagement and empowerment, youth leadership, community organizing, and campaigns.
FRRACS
Fore River Residents Against Compressor Station (FRRACS) - is an incorporated 501c4 community based group that is actively fighting the construction and operation of the Enbridge Weymouth compressor station in North Weymouth MA. We work to educate our Fore River Basin communities about the dangers of this facility and the dangers of fracked methane gas to our health and to our climate. We continue to use all means necessary to stop the operations of the compressor station, to monitor air quality and health in the Basin, and to work to restore our environment to its beautiful coastal magnificence.
Mothers Out Front
We envision a future where every child is assured clean air and a livable climate. In this future, Massachusetts homes and businesses are heated and cooled by affordable, energy-efficient, all-electric systems powered by clean, renewable energy. We are working to create a world where communities overburdened with polluting energy infrastructure are protected and healed.
Breathe Clean North Shore
Breathe Clean North Shore (BCNS) is a community group based in Peabody, MA fighting to stop the burning of unhealthy fossil fuels that pollute the air and worsen the climate crisis. The group emerged through opposition to a new gas peaking power plant in Peabody.
Springfield Climate Justice Coalition
Since 2014 the Springfield Climate Justice Coalition has brought together organizations across the city of Springfield to take on the issues of climate change and environmental justice at the local level, out of a deep concern for the future of our environment and the health of our residents. Our diverse coalition of community, civic, public health and faith based groups is committed to helping create a city where all of our residents can breathe clean air as we move towards a just transition from fossil fuels to clean, renewable energy.
We are currently focused on preventing Eversource from constructing a dangerous, highly polluting and unnecessary pipeline in Springfield, which would further compromise air quality in numerous environmental justice communities
