Pathways to Success

 

  • Mission: A peer based program to support students throughout their time at Boston College by providing a welcoming environment that encourages exploration of getting to know oneself as a learner. 
  • Participants: Students registered at the CFLC who choose to participate as well as students who have been recommended by a Dean. Participants are asked to commit to the entire semester.
  • Program Components: Weekly support includes alternating bi-weekly one hour group meetings and weekly one-on-one academic coaching meetings, which entails working with a mentor to self-assess, reflect, and set goals to achieve academic success. 
  • Focus Areas: Goal Setting, Time Management and Organization Strategies, Self-Advocacy and Conflict Management, Reading/Writing/Notetaking Strategies, Study Skills, Meditation and Relaxation, Future Planning.
