Welcome to the Boston College Law School Career Services Alumni Resource Page. This page is for Boston College Law School graduates only.
The Career Services Office at Boston Law Schools is available to assist you in making job-related transitions throughout your legal career. On this page, you will find links to numerous publications and resources available to you in making a successful transition.
You are welcome to attend any programs sponsored by Career Services. Please see the Announcements page for more details. If you plan to attend an event, please call the Career Services Office at (617) 552-4345.
Please note, that due to the recent economic situation, there may be at least a one - two week waiting period to speak with a BC Law Career Services Counselor. We are doing our best during these difficult times to respond to alumni while at the same time counsel all of our current students. We appreciate your patience.
Following our longstanding practice, Career Services regrets that we are unable to provide alumni counseling services from August 15 - October 12. We will make an exception for the classes of 2007 - 2009 and/ or if you have been directly impacted by downsizing in your organization.
In the meantime, please utilize the services we have provided for BC Law Alumni, as they are listed on the following career services website pages. You may find it helpful to sign up for BC LawNet to network with fellow alums, to search our job database (below) or to view our Alumni Transition Handout. We suggest that you e-mail (1) a copy of your resume, (2) a summary of your current employment and (3) the transition you are contemplating to law.career@bc.edu in connection with scheduling an appointment.
Thank you for your understanding during this busy season.

Important Student Loan Changes July 1
The first of July is an important date for people with federal student loans: it's when interest rates and other terms change each year. On July 1, 2009, in addition to Income-Based Repayment becoming available, Pell grants are getting bigger, and the interest rates on new Subsidized Stafford loans and existing variable-rate loans are going down. You may be able to lock in rates as low as 1.88% by consolidating variable-rate loans AFTER July 1.
