Dear fellow alumnus/alumna,

This is a special year for you, as a graduate from the class of 1959, 1964, 1969, 1974, 1979, 1984, 1989, 1994, 1999, or 2004.  Accordingly, you are most cordially invited to participate in the various 2009 reunion initiatives, including Reunion Weekend to be held October 9-11, 2009.

The weekend will include social events, interesting educational programs, and networking with fellow alumni, students, and faculty.  It is a wonderful opportunity to reconnect with the Law School and with classmates, both the old friends we once knew well and the new, perhaps yet undiscovered, friends with whom we now share professional affinities.

The other two programs that complete the Reunion Trifecta include your class’s Reunion Anniversary Book (yearbook) and the class Reunion Gift.  For the honor of our school, and to commemorate this special reunion of yours, please join your classmates in making a special contribution to your class gift.  Milestones like this are opportunities to make a more significant kind of pledge, the kind of pledge perhaps that you may have considered but always put off for one reason or another.  Consider taking advantage of that opportunity this year.

Your classmates on the committee are working hard to build excitement, so please celebrate being a part of our Boston College Law School community by participating fully in the Reunion Trifecta!  I look forward to seeing you at Reunion Weekend 2009!

Sincerely yours,
Kevin J. Curtin '88

This period of celebration is an opportunity to make Boston College Law School a philanthropic priority. Many alumni demonstrate their appreciation and continued support of BC Law by joining their classmates in making a reunion gift to the Law School Fund. For many donors, reunion gifts are above and beyond what they might typically give.

The Law School Fund provides support for virtually every area of the Law School, including student scholarships, faculty research, and assistance for those choosing public interest jobs. A reunion gift makes a great impact, supports continued excellence of the Law School, and enhances the value of a Boston College law degree.

All gifts and pledges to the Law School from June 1, 2008 through Reunion Weekend (October 9, 2009) will count toward your Class Gift.  Both Class Gift amounts and participation will be published in a subsequent issue of BC Law Magazine along with recognition for the classes with highest participation and greatest amount raised.

You may send your gift with your payment for the Reunion events, make your gift online at www.bc.edu/lawschoolfund, or download the Class Gift Form here.

Increase the value of your gift; click here to see if your employer will match your gift!

If a planned gift, which provides a regular income, is a more feasible than an outright cash gift, please consider including BC Law in your estate by making a planned gift in honor of this reunion.  Examples include Charitable Gift Annuities and Charitable Remainder Trusts.  For more information or if you have already included BC Law in your estate, please contact Ann Carey, Associate Director of Reunions and Classes at 617.552.0054 or careyac@bc.edu.
